“Experienced from the experience.”
This project of sound has been an impressive one to myself. The process of this project is along with my travel, my anxiety, my quarantine, etc. special stuff under the restriction of COVID-19 pandemic, which deeply interconnected me to the sound ever. In the origin, the idea born of the sound communication, which I have been stay at home with went to supermarket 2 times a week. At that point, I was feeling alone but the space of the room was so quite that making people want some noise even. Then, I started notice some noise I made at home, which when I record them and used them in my last project, I foudn that is so interesting that I did not found the fun besides me. When Convergent media began, I have a clearly mind that I want to share the sound to others, which others may think as the same only if they listen to it. Suddenly, the previous experience became the today’s idea, what an inspiration. Even more, I got a plan of the visualized sound for providing more feel to the audience, which is also a experience I learnt to create before, but now, all of them has a way to be integrated in the final SAU.
Idea is good forever, but the practice is always the difficult as well. When we thought the things gonna be smooth, we found that Wix limitation; When we thought about the design, the html5 gave us a huge punch on learning. Critcally, we are aggrassive in the process of walking in a new area, suffering for a lot, almost broken our idea. But I also realized that the creative works have difficulty, the sound work are so unique to be worth for learning some new,
As for the SAU itself, I like it immersive experience we made, though I admit that there are tons of remainning works. SAU has provided the functions, the experience I imagined at the start, which it has an fluent experience I have never image in our continued works for weeks. I found that I broken the limitaion of myself, which is unforgetable.
Course, It can be improved on the jumping pages, the uploading experience, and more details. But that’s also the reason I adviced to put it on the github as a open source project for everyone can configure the codes, and contribute the codes. The open source became another level of the sharing content of our community. I would say, our community are sharing sound but sharing itself.
All in all, this project we developed every byte carry me thinking about myself more and sharing the feeling to others, no matter the sound or the codes, even the experience, which making me learn a lot. More important, SAU also became a experience for my futural creative idea.
